Oglethorpe Power Re-elects Smith, Millwood as Officers

TUCKER, GA (April 3, 2019) – The Oglethorpe Power Board of Directors re-elected Bobby C. Smith, Jr. of Rocky Ford, Ga. as its chairman and Marshall S. Millwood of Gainesville, Ga. as vice chairman. The election took place following Oglethorpe Power’s annual meeting.  Smith was first elected as Board chairman in 2015 and Millwood assumed the vice chairman’s office in 2012. The two will serve in their officers’ positions for one year.  Smith is also a member of the Planters EMC Board of Directors in Millen, Ga. Millwood is a member of the Sawnee EMC Board in Cumming, Ga.

Other Board members who were re-elected at the annual meeting include Jimmy Bailey, Diverse Power; Fred McWhorter, Rayle EMC; George Weaver, Central Georgia EMC; and Randy Crenshaw, Irwin/Middle Georgia EMCs.
