(TUCKER, Ga., May 11, 2019) – Oglethorpe Power Corp. recently donated two desktop computers to Talbot County Family Connection, continuing the organization’s tradition of supporting communities across the state. The computers will allow Talbot County residents to access the internet for things such as paying bills online, applying for jobs, or researching information.
“Our goal is to bring community partners together to develop, implement, and evaluate plans that address serious challenges facing our children and families. Oglethorpe Power is helping greatly in combating our challenges,” states Dot Bass, coordinator of Talbot County Family Connection.
“We are always actively looking for opportunities in which we can support the community and families of Talbot County,” explains Doell Jackson, supervisor of operations and maintenance at Talbot Energy Facility. “We want to give back where we operate, and Talbot County Family Connection has been a great partner.”
Located in Talbot County, Oglethorpe Power Corp. owns and operates Talbot Energy Facility, a gas-fired combustion turbine power plant capable of producing 682 MW.
